ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A former teacher, university lecturer and entrepreneur, Stephen de Witt is an author of fiction and non-fiction.
His bestselling memoir, Bush Brothers, recounts his experiences as a soldier during South Africa’s Border War in the 1980s. His books reveal a long-standing interest in moral choices faced at moments of crisis. The Mob at the Gate, his latest novel, is set during the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381 in London.
Stephen has lived in both South Africa and England. He now writes full-time in Cape Town.
